Summary: Kisah peperangan yang berlaku di antara Raja Turkisna dari negeri Malikul ‘Adil (seorang raja yang adil dan bijaksana) dengan Raja Bermasam Aniaya dari negeri zaman Turan (seorang raja yang menyembah berhala dan zalim). Kekalahan di tangan Raja Turkisna menyebabkan baginda dan permaisuri lari meninggalkan istana dan meninggalkan anaknya yang baru dilahirkan di dalam hutan. Anak telah ditemui dan dipelihara oleh Rasdas dan menamakannya Bakhtiar. Cerita seterusnya mengisahkan kebijaksanaan Bakhtiar. Hikayat ini berunsur Islam / Arab.

Story about a war between King Turkisna from Malikul ‘Adil (a fair and wise king) with King Bermasam Aniaya from Turan ( a king that worships idols and is cruel). The latter’s defeat in the hands of King Turkisna results in his leaving his castle and his infant son in the forest. The infant was found by Rasdas who named him Bakhtiar. The rest of the story relates about the wisdom of Bakhtiar. This Hikayat is based on Islamic and Arabic influences.
